Sunset

Sunset is a neighbourhood with a lively and diverse population, from varied backgrounds, but also a neighbourhood with an increasing number of seniors. I'm happy to see the new Sunset Seniors Centre welcoming seniors with activities, food programs, and community gatherings.

But this neighbourhood still needs more help from the city. Seniors still need better accessibility, safer sidewalks, and better connectivity between support services. Sunset also presents a unique opportunity to highlight and celebrate the diverse arts and culture of locals in the area.

If elected, I will support improving the day-to-day lives of seniors and empowering diverse cultures of the area by pushing for better road and infrastructure repairs, creating better communication between support services, and including local artists in city arts and cultural events.

Sunset is rich in community and culture, now it's time to for the city to take care of its infrastructure to ensure a safe and successful future for its residents, especially its seniors.
